Swimming hm....I never thought about it as something which influences on someone, especially on kids. That may be due to reason that I went to swimming school and never had a fear of it or fear of drowning and similar. From the view of children I think that this is an excellent book. You can read it to your kid or read with your kid slowly going through it describing all important situations in which your toddler can encounter. I just remembered that I had a fear of deep water, but my instructor washed it away haha

Its very important to know how to react in certain situations, and by adopting every you will read it will give you a better insight in all. Anyway, I recommend this book to everyone. It is written in a very imaginative and child related way. A++++++++++++

This is laugh out loud comedy, folks. Save a trip to your local comedy club and BUY THIS BOOK!

After reading the author's last book, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. She did not disappoint me. The Mancode: Exposed is the bare naked truth. Rachel Thompson is witty and clever. She exposes the truth on men, women, sex, and relationships. Her 'deconstructions' are new perspectives on how we look at the opposite sex.

I found myself relating to so many things inside these digital pages. It not only had me laughing out loud, and getting weird looks from my family, it helped me understand my husband and our relationship better. This is sure to be a bestseller in no time.

If you're looking for great entertainment or you're in need of good humor, I highly recommend this book.

I met Rachel through her blog and the IBC. Oh lord, is this lady funny! And talented!

A Walk in the Snark is a fine collection of snarky posts about relationships, about men, about woman, about how they interact. It also has some truly heartfelt passages in it about loss, about love and how the two go hand-in-hand.

This is a book worth picking up and reading. It is a refreshing, daring, frank discussion about all things man and woman.

Bravo to Rachel on her debut! I most certainly cannot wait to read more from this very talented writer.

This is my first ever book review, but I felt that a lot of people were missing the mark on this book. If you are reading this book for great literature or for sound medical advice, you have got to be kidding me! They make plenty of medical books and offer too many classes (and I took many of them) on the subject. If you are reading this book because you only have five minutes a day to spend on yourself, then you are in for a treat. This sometimes irreverent and crass, but always funny and honest, book is a super fast read and is broken up in quick to read sections. So what if it has "incorrect" medical advice, that is not the point of the book. She is dead on when it comes to your view of your body, sex after baby, irrational mommy fears, cutting baby's nails, doctor visits, competitive moms (you know we are all one), stroller envy (you know you have had it), following your instincts (when in doubt, call the doctor), taking time for yourself, and so much more! Since the whole book deals with the fears that ALL new mommies have, it is an important book for new moms to read. It deals with all these crazy feelings with humor and lets you know that you are not the only one dealing with them. Jenny McCarthy said almost everything I would ever put in a book about the first few months of baby's life. Thanks for the laughs!

This is a really well written book which had me laughing out loud innumerable times as I read it. Unusual for a book of this genre, it doesn't disparage men at all, it simply and humorously points out some of the stereotypical traits of men and gives the author's take on them. It is obvious that she doesn't hate men as so many other female authors of books in this genre seem to. She, in fact, revels in the differences between "us and them" and faces the challenges of her committed relationship; i.e., marriage, with the wit and understanding which comes from giving half a damn about the person she chose to spend her life with. Applause...more applause!!! Yea!

After reading a number of books in this genre and being appalled by the vitriolic and obvious disdain (bordering on, or crossing the line into hatred) for men which many of these authors espouse, it was really refreshing to find this book which so eloquently and tactfully (yet humorously) made its points. Oh sure, I can't agree that this book and all its views pertain to each and every man...but there are parts to which each guy can lay claim and hopefully sit back and have a laugh at himself and, perhaps, even learn a thing or two. I give this one 4 ½ stars...oops...gotta go. I hear the wife calling:

I was fortunate to read an early copy of this book, and was riveted by this story about the fallout of infidelity -- the complexities of three women, their complicated claims to one child, and their knotty relationships with the men in their lives (two of them to the same man). Not all women approach or experience motherhood in the same way, and this book dares to ask, Does anyone "deserve" to be a mother more than another? I loved The Murderer's Daughters, and Meyers has applied her same emotional-honesty radar to this book. She writes with heart and wisdom and, most importantly, without easy judgement.

This a book you cannot put down in which three women's lives are braided around the conception, birth and adoption of a girl who is the product of an extra-marital affair. I have been so excited to read that and it was EVEN BETTER than I thought it would be. (I LOVED Meyers's first book The Murderer's Daughter.) What's really stunning about Meyers's work is that she works through some very heavy topics here without once stepping into a too-heavy or ponderous feel. It's a lively, smart book that tells a great story. But it does more than just tell a story - it makes you think. I absolutely inhaled this book. Lucky readers!!
